Lipodrene Vs Lipodrene (What to know in 2019)
Hi-Tech Pharma’s Lipodrene line is one of our most extensive fat burner series. Lipodrene uses a 3-way fat burning system to help you achieve your weight loss goals. This system includes:
- Helping you burn away calories and fat
- Helping to control sugar cravings
- Suppresses your appetite
Fat burners that help increase the efficiency your body burns calories through your metabolism is called thermogenics. When you’re body is burning calories, it generates more heat. This process is referred to as thermogenesis, which literally means the production of heat. The Lipodrene series is a classic example of good thermogenics, but each version shines in it’s own way.

Why Have So Many Variations Of Lipodrene?
Simple, so there’s a version for everyone. Each lipodrene has something that makes it a little different. But, that doesn’t mean one is better than another.
We are all different, and our experiences and results will differ as well. Because of this, what works for some individuals may not work for you. That’s why we like to see brands with a variety of products to select from.
So before deciding on which lipodrene (or any fat burner) you want to go with, you should have a good understanding of what you’re looking for from it.
It’s also important to note that the FDA recommends healthy adults to consume a max of 400mg of caffeine in a day. (1) This is equal to about four 8oz coffees. Yet there are products that have 400mg of caffeine per serving.
This is why we recommend you assess your tolerance to stimulants. As well as go on routine “breaks” to allow you body to regain it’s sensitivity.
In Every Lipodrene
Given that each of the lipodrenes are different, there are some ingredients we see in each fat burner. We will refer to these as the core ingredients:
- Senegalia Berlandieri Extract
- Green Tea Extract
- Theobromine Anhydrous
- Yohimbe Extract
- Citrus Aurantium Extract
- 5-Methoxytryptamine HCl
How Do The Core Ingredients Aid In Weight Loss?
Caffeine is a great foundation stimulant. Its the most common stimulant found in food as well as supplements. Caffeine can aid in increasing your metabolism, energy, and suppress your appetite.
Senegalia Berlandieri is an effective stimulant commonly compared to Acacia Rigidula Extract. It’s great for increasing energy and suppressing appetite. While also providing a feeling of euphoria.
Plus it has benefits from the PEA alkaloids it yields. Which promotes focus and more mood boosting properties.
Green Tea Extract:(4)
Lipodrene also has Green Tea Extract. There are a ton of research on Green Tea’s effect on weight loss.
Some of the more recognized benefits include:
- Improving your body’s efficiency at burning calories
- Improve exercise performance
- Reduce visceral (belly fat) and inflammation
Theobromine Anhydrous: (5)
Theobromine is a compound found in cacao plants and tea leaves. It has stimulant properties, so it’s most prominent effect would be the energy boost. Like other stimulants, it also has appetite suppressing properties.
Yohimbine is a mild stimulant. So it can help suppress appetite, but there’s more to its fat-burning properties. The main way that it burns fat is by blocking alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in fat cells. Once it bounds with a fat cell, it “turns off” the alpha receptor. Which allows the fat cells to mobilize and burn off.
Citrus Aurantium Extract: (7)
Citrus Aurantium Extract or Synephrine HCl is like ephedrine. This stimulant is also a strong appetite suppressant.
It works by acting like adrenaline when ingested. This helps increase metabolism and boost energy without increasing blood pressure.
Naringin helps burn fat by increasing production of a fat burning hormone, adiponectin. When combined with synephrine, it may even increase energy expenditure.
5-MT is a precursor to melatonin. Why include a sleep aid in a fat burner? Besides its role in sleep, it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It’s also involved with regulating blood pressure, immune function, and body temperature.
The Label: Lipodrene With Ephedra
This is the original lipodrene, although it’s not the original formula. We feature this version on all our best fat burner post. But if you’re experienced with thermogenics in general, it may not be enough. Lipodrene with ephedra from Hi-Tech is a mild thermogenic. So instead we would recommend this version for new users. Or for people looking for a step up from Hydroxyelite.

Firstly, there are a variety of stimulants in lipodrene. Some of the more potent stimulants include:
- Ephedra Extract (10)
- Senegalia Berlandieri
- Synephrine HCl
- 2-Aminoisoheptane HCl
- Theophylline (11)
Following the stims, the next couple of ingredients are not as strong but do exhibit stimulant effect. These include:
- Green Tea Extract
- Yohimbine HCl
Futhermore for appetite suppressant, there is only one ingredient with this purpose. But keep in mind all the above stimulants will play a role in appetite suppression.
- Hoodia Gordonii (12)
There are a couple of ingredients that will help promote thermogenesis;
- 6,7 dihydroxybergamottin (13)
But it also has ingredients like mood and cognitive booster.
- 5-Methoxytryptamine HCl
5-HTP is a precursor to serotonin. Meaning once consumed, a chemical reaction occurs to produce serotonin. So why not just take serotonin?
Serotonin is too large of a molecule to pass through the Blood-Brain Barrier. Precursors are much smaller and thus can pass though the Blood-Brain Barrier.
The last ingredient is:
- Cassia Nomame (15)
The Label: Lipodrene Hardcore
Secondly, we have Lipodrene Hardcore with Ephedra. The Hardcore contains 2 proprietary blends totaling up to 700mg of active ingredients. Generally, if you liked Lipodrene with ephedra (yellow tablet) but wanted more energy, we’d say this is for you.
When you look at the formula you’ll see we have some of those core ingredients again. But you also have more of the shared ingredients between these formulas that aren’t in the other fat burners. This includes Ephedra and Cassia Nomame.
Although ephedra is not as potent as ephedrine, they work in the same ways. Thus provides similar weight loss results. The main use of it is as an energy booster, but it has other features as well. Ephedra may
- Increase your metabolism
- Improve cognition
- Reduce inflammation of mucous membranes in the body
Besides all that, Lipodrene hardcore also contains:
Guayusa Extract and Theophylline promote even more energy and appetite suppression. While Evodiamine promotes thermogenesis.
Lastly the Theobroma Cocoa may promote an increase in energy. But it wont be as potent as caffeine or any other stimulant in this blend. Generally it’s more noticeable affect would the mood/cognition boosting effects.
The Label: Lipodrene Xtreme
In Lipodrene Xtreme V2, we have two blends.
- A general Proprietary Blend containing 395mg of active ingredients
- Citrus-Rx™ Blend containing 250mg of active ingredients
Our only non-core ingredient stimulant is:
- 2-Aminoisoheptane HCl (18)
Which is like DMAA, but not as potent. DMHA is often in medication to promote lung/air capacity. But it does also has vaso-constricting properties.
For appetite suppression we have:
- Hoodia Gordonii
But, again all the stimulants in both blend will play a role in appetite suppression.
For metabolism boosters we have:
- Raspberry Ketones (19)
- Citrus Natsudaidai Hayata Extract
- Citrus Juno Siebal
- Ex tanaka extract
- Citrus Limonium Extract
- Citrus Aurantium Extract
In the Citrus-Rx Blend we have 5 citrus extracts. Citrus Aurantium Extract is the most common extract we see in fat burners. But what’s more important is that there is a ton of research backing up the effect of it. In general, citrus extract will help kick start fat break down and suppress your appetite. While also providing an energy boost.
The Label: Lipodrene Elite
Our last fat burner is Lipodrene Elite. Which is also one of the newest fat burners to the lipodrene line. But one of the more popular ones too. What separates the Elite from the other fat burners is two ingredients:
Erythroxylum Coca Extract comes from the coca plant. This ingredient dives into a few fat burning categories. This plant is popular in indigenous tribes for increasing energy and curbing appetite. While also promoting weight loss.It is infamous for being in cocaine. But the cocaine alkaloids were removed. As a result, you are left with its natural alkaloids, amines, and nutrients. Which may increase metabolic rate, decrease appetite, and help increase fat oxidation. Caralluma Extract is a cactus that has been used since antiquity in Indian medicine and food. Studies show it help provide significant weight loss by providing powerful appetite suppression.
What if you’ve tried them all and haven’t found the winner yet?
Firstly, you will need to make sure your diet is on point. A fat burner is a supplement, meaning it comes “in addition to” rather than “in substitution of”. So without correcting your diet and exercise regimen, you won’t get the results you want.
Secondly, it may be time to take a break from stimulants. When your tolerance is very high, you naturally will take more of a product to get the same effects. Eventually, the product will feel as those it has lost its effect. When in reality, you’ve just become used to it. Try taking 2 weeks off of stimulants and then reintroducing it.
Finally, you can also try incorporating other products to make a weight loss stack. While we do have ingredient option listed in our Best Fat Burner 2019 guide, you’re not limited to that.
You could also go with a stack with one of the Lipodrenes mentioned above. For those options: CLICK HERE.
To Conclude on Lipodrene:
While all of these products are mild to strong fat burners. We would rate the Elite and V2 as being the better energy fat burners. While the others are better for overall fat burn and appetite suppression. And if you’re still not sure which fat burner to try, send us an email and we’ll help you decide! CLICK HERE
