Appetite Suppression And Weight Loss

When it comes to weight loss, there is a simple formula that will determine how effective your journey will be, calories in vs calories out. If the calories you consume is larger than the calories you burn, losing weight may be difficult and the journey may be longer than necessary. That’s where a good appetite suppressant or anorectic can be handy.

What an appetite suppressant essentially does is reduce your appetite. This can be through stimulant or non-stimulant ingredients. However, most stimulants play a role in appetite suppression.

When would an appetite suppressant be beneficial? Generally, individuals with a tendency to overeat or with excessive cravings may benefit from this effect. It’s important to note that while this effect is common for most stimulants, how strong the effect is can vary from ingredient to ingredient and from person to person.

Increasing Energy And Weight Loss

When you think of a fat burner you may not readily think of energy and stimulants. But, these are important and common properties of fat burners. While dieting, we tend to feel sluggish and this can negatively affect the whole day. So adding stimulants like caffeine and ephedra can boost can aid in maintaining your energy throughout the day. But, while scanning through the many options you’ll need to take into account these aren’t the only stimulants used in fat burners and effects can vary.

When isn’t an energy-based fat burner beneficial?

If you know your tolerance to stimulants is low you may want to opt for a stimulant-free fat burner. This is because you may experience unpleasant side effects from the stimulants like jitteriness and nausea.

As a baseline, a cup of coffee has around 80 – 100 mgs of caffeine, if a cup of coffee makes you anxious or jittery, checkout some of the stimulant-free options.

Increasing Thermogenesis And Weight Loss

Thermogenesis refers to the ability of your body to use (burn) the calories you consume. As you can imagine, by increasing this function, it can have a significant effect on your weight loss. There are a couple of different ingredients that can produce this effect, stimulants being one of the common ones and fruits such as peppers or citrus extracts.

What can you expect from a thermogenic fat burner?

Thermogenic-based fat burners are likely to make you sweat more. Because of this you’ll want to put an extra effort in staying hydrated. But what does sweating more mean for your weight loss? By increasing thermogenesis, you are also increasing the calories burned at rest and activity. It may also be referred to as boosting your metabolism. As with every function of a fat burner, this effect may vary.

Stimerex vs lipodrene (4) mood

Boosting Mood/Focus And Weight Loss

The last common mechanism from fat burners will be going over is the mood and cognitive enhancements. Another common “side effect” of dieting can include inability to focus and irritability.  So adding some mood support and nootropic ingredients can help you get through your work days, workouts, and whatever else the day throws at you in good spirits. However, these effects are likely subtle. This won’t replace medication for anxiety, depression, or learning disabilities.

Are there concerns for mood boosting/focus enhancing ingredients?

If you are someone on medications for one of the conditions above or other medications that affect mood, you should talk to your doctor before starting a fat burner. This is because some ingredients may interact with your medication.

What’s The Same: Stimerex ES vs Lipodrene with Ephedra

Stimerex Es Lipodrene with ephedra labels

Now that we know what functions to expect from a fat burner, let’s discuss the functions of Stimerex-ES vs Lipodrene with ephedra. First, we’re going to go over the ingredients shared between them, which there are many.

Stimulants

The stimulants shared between Stimerex and Lipodrene include:

  • Ephedra (1)
  • Senegalia Berlandieri (2)
  • 2-Aminoisoheptane HCl (3)
  • Theobromine (4)
  • Green Tea Extract (5)
  • Citrus Aurantium Extract (6)
  • Caffeine (7)

As we discussed above, stimulants carry a lot of the weight from fat burners. They can boost metabolism and mood and increase energy while reducing appetite. But how effective these functions are depend on the potency of the ingredient.

The more potent stimulants include ephedra, senegalia berlandieri, and 2-aminoisoheptane HCl. From these ingredients, the energy, thermogenesis, and appetite suppression may be the most potent. However, they are not generally known for the mood boosting properties.

The long lasting stimulants include theobromine, caffeine, and 2-aminoisoheptane HCl. By long lasting, we mean these effects are generally acknowledged to extend throughout the day without having a “crash”. However, this does depend on person to person; your individual sensitivity to stimulant may influence how long it lasts.

The stimulants recognized for their thermogenic potential include ephedra, senegalia berlandieri, green tea extract, and citrus aurantium.

Non-Stimulant Ingredients
  • Naringen (8)
  • 6,7 Dihydroxybergamottin (8)

Naringin helps burn fat by increasing production of a fat burning hormone, adiponectin. When combined with synephrine, it may even increase energy expenditure. Similarly, 6,7 Dihydroxybergamottin also may increase thermogenesis, when combined with synephrine.

What’s Different: Stimerex ES vs Lipodrene with Ephedra

In this section, we’ll be going over what makes Stimerex and Lipodrene unique!

DIFFERENT LIPO

Stimulants
  • Synephrine HCl (6)
  • Yohimbine HCl (9)

Both synephrine and yohimbine are stimulants that can promote an increase in energy, appetite suppression and thermogenesis. But, the synephrine may also promote mood boosting properties, whereas the yohimbine may promote thermogenesis more.

Non-Stimulant Appetite Suppressants
  • Hoodia Extract (10)

Hoodia Extract is a popular appetite suppressant. There aren’t many studies on Hoodia to pinpoint a compound that results in appetite suppression, but the studies that have been done (and it’s history within the Khoi-San tribes) indicate it is an effective appetite suppressant.

Mood Boosters
  • 5-Methoxytryptamine HCl (11)
  • L-5-Hydroxytryptophan (12)

5-MT is a precursor to melatonin. Besides its role in sleep, it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It’s also involved with regulating blood pressure, immune function, and body temperature. 5-HTP is a precursor to serotonin, that crosses the blood-brain barrier. 5-HTP may aid in reducing appetite and weight loss.

Lastly
  • Cassia Nomame Extract †

Cassia Nomame may prevent the stomach and intestines from absorbing dietary fat. This causes the excretion of dietary fat. Which might promote weight loss in some people.

DIFFERENT STIMEREX

As you can see above, the only other ingredient in Stimerex ES is Yohimbe, which sounds similar to Yohimbine HCl, so what’s the difference?

Yohimbe VS Yohimbine HCl

Yohimbe is sourced from trees where yohimbine is sourced from yohimbe! Yohimbine HCl is an alkaloid of yohimbe, so they essentially do the same thing. But, when you take a concentrated form of an alkaloid over taking the source, it may be more potent. Think about it like this, you could have your vitamins and minerals from food or you can take a concentrated multi-vitamin. You would need more food to get the same amount of vitamins provided by the multi-vitamin.†

who should take it

Who Should Take it

If you’re looking for all out fat burning either fat burner is a great option. But when you dive closer into the labels, you’ll notice that stimerex has more caffeine than lipodrene. This could make it better for individuals looking for energy. However, due to both products having proprietary blends, we wouldn’t be able to assess each ingredient. Lipodrene, on the other hand, has more ingredients associated with appetite suppression so it may be better in this regard as well.
