What Is It?

CoQ-10 is an antioxidant that plays many roles contributing to human health. Coenzyme Q10, often simply called CoQ-10, has shown a myriad of benefits to human health ranging from cardiovascular support to immune and liver health. _† Our CoQ-10 softgels contain only the highest quality CoQ-10 naturally derived from a fermentation process as opposed to a synthetic form.

CoQ-10 is a crucial compound needed by the mitochondria of every cell to produce energy for the cell, and is especially important to heart, liver and kidney tissue. These organs are known to have high concentrations of mitochondria. CoQ-10 is critical to the function of heart, liver and kidneys where it supports cell membrane stabilization and acts as an antioxidant, in addition to energy production. _†

Our Pre-Emulsified Liposomal (PEL) delivery system form of fermented CoQ-10 improves the absorption of the critical compound. How Does It Work?

Ingredients:

• Vitamin E (as mixed tocopherols) - 15 IU
• Coenzyme Q-10 (as Ubiquinone) -100 mg

Coenzyme Q-10, known also as Ubidecarenone, Ubiquinone, or simply CoQ-10 is a fat-soluble compound found throughout the body. Found in high concentrations in the heart, liver and kidneys is not surprising considering its role in energy metabolism of the mitochondria. These organs have high concentrations of mitochondria and rely heavily on CoQ-10 for healthy functioning.

Mitochondria are organelles within cells responsible for the conversion of carbohydrates and fats into ATP (energy). CoQ-10 located in the mitochondrial membrane is essential to this conversion and is responsible for generating ATP through the electron transport chain. By supporting CoQ-10 levels to these organs it allows them to operate at their full potential. _† When CoQ-10 is in its reduced form in blood serum it serves as a potent antioxidant.

The body absorbs Co-Q10 poorly as the body then has to emulsify it with lipids in order to absorb it through the lymphatic system. By pre-emulsifying our CoQ-10 we are preparing for absorption by the lymphatic system. This can increase the bioavailability of this critical compound versus merely ingesting the ingredient alone.

• The gelatin is bovine derived.
