What Is It?

Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals R-Lipoic Acid is a natural form of lipoic acid that your body can synthesize and safely metabolize_†. R-lipoic acid (R-LA) is a cofactor of mitochondrial enzymes and a very strong antioxidant._† R-lipoic acid has been shown to be 10 times more effective than ordinary lipoic acid._† Ordinary ALA has a short half-life and poor absorption (about 30%) because of poor solubility and instability in the stomach._† Hi-Tech's R-ALA uses our Cyclosome® formulation, which dramatically improves alpha lipoic acid absorption._†

The R-ALA version (isomer) of ALA is shows the best bioavailability but is still limited due to its poor solubility and stability problems._†

How Does It Work?
