When Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals first announced Pro-HGH, I knew I wanted to give it a proper run. It’s one of the more interesting formulas Hi-Tech has released, especially with the focus on oral peptides, natural growth hormone support, and recovery.† But reading the label and actually using something for a month are two completely different things.
So when our shipment arrived, I started a public log over on Reddit. The plan was pretty simple: take Pro-HGH consistently, keep my usual training and nutrition routine, and document what I noticed along the way.
I wasn’t expecting to wake up looking completely different or suddenly start throwing extra plates on every lift. I mainly wanted to see what would happen with my sleep, recovery, energy, and gym performance over a full month.
Four weeks later, I’ve got quite a bit to talk about. And honestly, one of the biggest changes wasn’t even something I was originally looking for.

Why I Started Pro-HGH
I started taking Hi-Tech Pro-HGH on August 21, 2026. My first dose was before bed, and I followed the product’s recommended five-tablet daily serving.
At the time, I was training consistently and running a calorie deficit. That made recovery a big part of what I wanted to watch. When you’re dieting and still trying to progress in the gym, the last thing you want is to feel beaten up from one workout going into the next.
Sleep was another big one for me. I’ve never really had trouble falling asleep, but staying asleep is a different story. I’m usually tossing and turning, waking up throughout the night, and dragging myself out of bed the next morning.
I also had a pretty heavy caffeine habit. We’re talking around 400 mg, sometimes more, just to keep things moving during the day. I wasn’t planning on cutting caffeine out when I started this log. That’s important to mention because of what happened later.
I kept my training, diet, and cardio routine as consistent as possible. I wanted to pay attention to the product without changing five other things at the same time.
What Is Hi-Tech Pro-HGH?
Before getting into the weekly updates, here’s a little background on what I was taking.
Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Pro-HGH is an oral peptide supplement formulated around the body’s natural growth hormone and IGF-1 signaling pathways.† It’s marketed for recovery, lean muscle support, protein synthesis, and performance.†
The formula includes 1,250 mg of Somatophen 70 Peptides, containing ingredients such as L-Arginyl-Arginine, whey-derived IGF-1, and anterior pituitary peptides. There’s also hydrolyzed velvet bean extract containing 250 mg of L-Dopa, along with additional amino-based ingredients.
Hi-Tech uses its Cyclosome delivery technology in the formula, which is intended to protect sensitive ingredients during digestion and support their absorption.†
Now, that doesn’t automatically mean swallowing these peptides will increase your growth hormone or IGF-1 levels. That’s something you’d need actual testing to establish. My log was about what I personally noticed during use.
Each bottle contains 150 tablets, giving you 30 daily servings. I took my five tablets before bed throughout the test.
And I’ll get one complaint out of the way now: I don’t particularly enjoy taking five tablets at night. They’re pretty big, too. I mentioned that in the Reddit thread because, as much as I liked my experience, swallowing those every night wasn’t exactly the highlight of my day.
Week 1: The Sleep Difference (Days 1–7)
Checking in after the first seven days, sleep was easily the biggest thing I noticed.
The first couple of nights were interesting. I wasn’t necessarily sleeping longer, but the sleep itself felt noticeably deeper. On Day 3, I actually woke up feeling extremely groggy and heavy. That caught me off guard because it wasn’t the refreshed feeling I was hoping for.
Things really started changing around Days 4 through 7.
Normally, I’m waking up multiple times throughout the night. Sometimes it’s tossing and turning, sometimes I’m just awake for no particular reason. During those last few nights of Week 1, that happened a lot less.
I was sleeping for longer stretches and waking up feeling like I’d actually gotten some rest.
The mornings were probably my favorite part. I’m usually pretty sluggish when the alarm goes off, but I started getting out of bed with a lot more energy. Not the wired feeling you get from caffeine, either. I just felt refreshed.
What About Recovery?
I thought my muscle soreness might have been clearing up a little faster, but I wasn’t ready to give Pro-HGH all the credit after only seven days.
My lifts were still progressing at their normal pace. Nothing crazy stood out in the gym yet, and I wasn’t expecting some massive performance change in the first week anyway.
At this point, the sleep improvement was enough to keep me interested. I wanted to see whether that better rest would start carrying over into training as the weeks went on.
Week 2: Recovery and Gym Performance (Days 8–14)
By Week 2, the sleep improvements from Week 1 had locked in, and I started noticing changes during the day. I wasn’t waking up in the middle of the night like I normally do, and I was consistently getting out of bed feeling rested.
That alone was a big change for me, but I also started noticing how much better I felt throughout the day. My mood was good, my stress felt lower, and I wasn’t constantly trying to shake off that tired feeling.
Then there was the gym.
Recovery Was Noticeably Better
During Week 1, I was still questioning whether the changes in soreness were just in my head. By Week 2, I was feeling a much more obvious difference.
I was adding reps or increasing weight throughout my workouts without feeling like I was grinding through every session. My soreness was clearing up faster, and I was showing up ready to train again instead of still feeling the previous workout.
That’s a pretty big deal when you’re trying to make progress while dieting.
I wasn’t just maintaining my numbers, either. I was actively progressing while my body weight was coming down.
What Was Happening With My Weight?
I was already in a calorie deficit when I started Pro-HGH, so weight loss was part of the plan.
During the second week, I noticed the scale dropping unusually fast, sometimes around a pound per day. My diet and cardio hadn’t changed, and I was still managing to progress in the gym.
I was pretty happy about that combination. Anyone who’s spent time cutting knows how frustrating it can be when your workouts start suffering as the scale moves down.
Of course, a rapid change on the scale doesn’t tell you exactly how much fat you’ve lost. Water, glycogen, and normal daily fluctuations can all play a part. I wasn’t measuring those separately.
What I could say was that my weight was dropping, my strength was still climbing, and I was feeling better recovered between workouts.
By the end of Week 2, I was feeling pretty good about the direction things were going.
Week 3: Vivid Dreams, Less Caffeine, and Almost No Soreness (Days 15–21)
Week 3 brought something I definitely wasn’t expecting.
I started having some seriously vivid dreams. I’m talking every single night, and some of them were pretty wild.
I’ve always associated remembering dreams with getting a good night’s sleep, so it caught my attention. I was still sleeping straight through the night without all the usual interruptions.
I can’t tell you whether my REM sleep actually increased because I wasn’t tracking sleep stages with any clinical equipment. But I can tell you the difference in how I felt when I woke up was hard to ignore.
The Caffeine Change Was the Biggest Shock
This one really surprised me.
For years, caffeine had been part of my daily routine. By mid-morning, I’d normally already be somewhere around 400 mg just to keep myself going.
During Week 3, I started noticing I wasn’t reaching for it nearly as much.
One day, I looked at the clock and realized it was almost noon. I hadn’t had a single milligram of caffeine yet.
That probably doesn’t sound like a big deal to someone who rarely drinks coffee or takes pre-workout, but for me? I genuinely couldn’t remember the last time I’d gone that far into the day without caffeine.
And the weird part was, I wasn’t sitting there fighting to stay awake. I felt fine.
I wasn’t deliberately trying to quit stimulants. I just wasn’t feeling that same need to reach for them in the morning.
I can’t say Pro-HGH directly caused that change, but it happened during the same period that my sleep was feeling dramatically better.
Editor’s Note: While I didn’t anticipate this effect, it aligns with the product’s formula. Pro-HGH contains 250 mg of L-Dopa (from velvet bean extract), which crosses the blood-brain barrier and converts to dopamine. Dopamine heavily regulates both REM sleep architecture (which can cause vivid dreams) and daytime wakefulness and motivation (which explains the sudden lack of reliance on caffeine). (1,2)
Recovery Was Still Holding Up
The improvements I noticed during Week 2 were still going strong.
DOMS was basically nonexistent for me at this point, even though I was continuing to increase weights and training volume. My joints felt good, and I wasn’t carrying that nagging soreness from one session into the next.
It was probably the combination of everything that impressed me most. I was sleeping well, waking up with energy, progressing in the gym, and not spending the rest of the day trying to recover from the workout.
Week 4: My Full-Month Pro-HGH Update (Days 22–28)
By Week 4, the improvements from Weeks 2 and 3 had permanently locked in. The deep sleep, vivid dreams, and refreshed mornings hadn’t disappeared after a few good nights; it was just my new normal.
But the caffeine situation got even crazier.
I Was Going Entire Days Without Caffeine
During Week 3, I was shocked that I could make it until noon without caffeine.
By Week 4, I was going multiple full days without any caffeine or stimulants.
Coming from someone who used to rely on 400 mg or more a day, that was a pretty massive change.
What made it even better was that I wasn’t feeling drained or struggling to get through my day. I was just waking up with enough energy that I didn’t feel the need to start loading up on caffeine.
I honestly didn’t expect that to be one of my biggest takeaways from trying a growth hormone support formula.
Training Was Still Progressing
My lifts continued climbing at a steady pace. Soreness was still minimal, sometimes nonexistent, even as I pushed progressive overload.
The weight loss from my cut was also continuing, and I wasn’t feeling like I was running on empty during workouts.
I don’t have bloodwork showing changes in IGF-1, and I didn’t run any controlled recovery measurements. So I’m not going to pretend I can prove exactly what was happening inside my body.
But after four weeks of tracking how I felt, I was genuinely impressed with my experience.
The consistency is what stood out. I wasn’t chasing one really good workout or a random night of great sleep. These were things I kept noticing week after week.
My 30-Day Results at a Glance:
- Sleep: Stopped waking up in the middle of the night and woke up feeling refreshed instead of sluggish.
- Energy: Dropped my 400mg/day caffeine habit without trying; went entire days with zero caffeine by Week 4.
- Recovery: DOMS was basically nonexistent by Week 3, allowing me to increase weight and reps despite being in a calorie deficit.
- Body Weight: Scale dropped steadily (up to a pound a day in Week 2) without losing strength.

What the Reddit Community Asked
One thing I liked about keeping this log on Reddit was getting to talk with other people who were either taking Pro-HGH or thinking about trying it.
A few people asked whether I was falling asleep faster. For me, that really wasn’t an issue to begin with. I’ve always been able to fall asleep pretty quickly. Staying asleep was the problem, and that’s where I noticed the biggest difference.
There were also questions about bloodwork, particularly IGF-1 levels.
That’s a fair question considering the way Pro-HGH is marketed. I didn’t get baseline IGF-1 testing before starting my run, so I can’t tell you whether my levels changed.
Another member of the community decided to take a different approach and get bloodwork before starting. His baseline IGF-1 result was 285 ng/mL, and he planned to test again after completing his run.
He also ended up extending his trial to two bottles. That’s a separate person’s experience, though, and I don’t want to mix his observations or test results into my own.
That’s also why I like the idea of keeping these logs public. I can share what happened during my run, and other people can bring their own experiences and questions to the discussion.

My Final Thoughts After Four Weeks
Going into this, I was mainly interested in seeing whether Pro-HGH would make a noticeable difference in my recovery and training.
I expected sleep to be part of the conversation, but I didn’t expect it to become such a big part of my overall experience.
Within the first week, I was sleeping through the night more consistently. By the second week, I was noticing improvements in soreness and how ready I felt going into my workouts. In Week 3, I started having vivid dreams and using dramatically less caffeine.
By the end of the fourth week, those changes were still there.
The caffeine reduction was probably my biggest surprise. Going from relying on 400 mg or more a day to sometimes going days without it wasn’t something I had planned or expected.
And being able to continue progressing in the gym while cutting made the recovery side even more interesting to me.
Now, I do want to be clear about something. This was my personal experience, not a controlled experiment. I didn’t measure growth hormone levels, get pre- and post-run IGF-1 testing, or use objective sleep-stage measurements. Better sleep, changes in training, and other factors could have contributed to the results I noticed.
Still, I’m happy with how the month went. The improvements felt consistent enough that I’ve decided to keep Pro-HGH in my rotation.
Would everyone have the same experience? Probably not. But if you’re following the product and wondering what an actual month of use looked like for someone who trains regularly, that’s how mine went.
And if you’re running Pro-HGH yourself, I’d genuinely like to hear how it’s going. Whether you’re seeing similar changes or having a completely different experience, those are the conversations that make these public logs worth doing.
If your sleep is struggling and your recovery has hit a wall, a 30-day run of Pro-HGH might be a great option.
