Condense Pre-Workout Review Purus Labs 2021

Today we’ll be breaking down one of our favorite Creatine-free pre workouts; Condense by Purus Labs. One of our favorite features of Condense is the simplicity of the formula. It only contains 4 active ingredients and some electrolytes for a grand total of 7.5 grams per serving. When compared to other pre workouts that can range from 10-20 grams of active ingredients, you may question how effective Condense is in the gym. But don’t worry that’s why we’re here!

CONDENSE-PRE-WORKOUT Label

Condense Pre Workout Label

Condense features 5.3 grams of active ingredients in a fully disclosed label.

  • Betaine Anhydrous (2.5 grams)
  • CarnoSyn Beta Alanine (2 grams)
  • NO3-T Betaine Nitrate (250 mg)
  • Caffeine (200 mg)

Looking at these doses, you can see that the formula is great for someone just getting into pre workouts, anyone with a moderate tolerance to stimulants, or even someone cycling off from a high stimulant product. But, don’t let the lower doses fool you. For starters, you’re able to take up to two servings before training. Though Purus Labs recommends not exceeding this limit.

Outside of this, Condense isn’t like your typical pre workout. Unlike most that focus on increasing energy, Condense focuses on increasing blood flow. And if you were confused why that matters, more blood flow during your workouts mean:

  • Better nutrient absorption †
  • Preserve ATP stores †
  • Propelling oxygen delivery †
  • Reducing overall exercise oxygen cost †

Which translates to better pumps, endurance, and recovery. Now let’s dive into how Condense achieves this.

Endurance Badge CondenseThe Ingredients

Betaine Anhydrous(1)

Firstly we have Betaine, which is a metabolite of Choline in the body and a component of beetroot. Betaine Anhydrous has many benefits for the trained athletes to weekend warriors alike.

Including:

  • Increased power output
  • Increased energy levels
  • Promotes cellular hydration (like creatine)
  • May reduce LDL cholesterol/blood lipids
  • May help reduce body-fat tissue (needs more conclusive research)
CarnoSyn Beta Alanine(2)

Second on our ingredient list is Beta-alanine, which is a non-essential amino acid. As you workout your muscle cells excrete lactic acid. There is an association between lactic acid build up muscle soreness and fatigue, though there is also evidence that lactic acid may aid in building muscle. Beta-alanine buffers the lactic acid from building up. As a result you may be able to get a few more reps out in the gym without feeling the burn.

NO3-T Betaine Nitrate(3)

Next up, we have betaine nitrate. Betaine nitrate is the combination of betaine anhydrous with nitric acid. It has many benefits such as increased power and strength. But betaine is also an osmolyte and can help regulate cell hydration. When you consume nitrate, your body converts it to nitric oxide. Which in turn allows blood vessels to relax and dilate, lowering blood pressure and increasing blood flow.

Caffeine (4)

Our final ingredient is Caffeine. This is the only energy source in Condense. Its the most common stimulant found in food as well as supplements. Caffeine can aid in increasing your metabolism, energy, and suppress your appetite.

Condense stack

What Can I Stack with Condense by Purus Labs?

Because Condense is a Creatine Free formula, you can stack it with other “pump” products. Pump products are a great addition to almost every pre workout. Essentially a pump product is going to promote blood flow or increase hydration in cells. Where the latter is commonly referred to as a cell volumizer. Typically, these products are free of stimulants as stimulants are generally vasoconstrictors (with some exceptions).

One common stack we recommend is the Condense with Noxygen also by Purus Labs.

NOXygen® is a stimulant-free, unflavored supplement additive that will complement any pre workout.

What it does is support:

      • Increased Strength
      • Amplified Endurance
      • Cell Hydration

NOXygen Review:

  • Great Additive Review by Dave E
    • This stuff is awesome. It’s meant to be used as an additive, not a pre workout supplement alone. It’s essentially a very potent nitrogen oxide booster that helps achieve better muscle pumps. The n.o. boosters help to increase the speed of your cardiovascular cycle in order to circulate more blood into the muscles. There are no stimulants in this product so it will not give you an energy boost in itself. You have to add it to your pre workout.

How Do I Take Condense?

Mix 1 serving with 8 ounces of cold water and consume 10 minutes before exercise. You can use Condense on non-training days in addition to training days.

Do not consume more than two servings at any one time. Do not use more than twice daily.

What To Expect

Purus Labs Condense is a great pre workout for individuals looking to improve endurance. You can expect an effective pre workout, without creatine or dyes. Not only does Purus Labs Condense aid in increasing power & force output, but it also helps postpone muscular exhaustion, preserves oxygen & ATP stores. Which will result in aiding vasodilation. Finally causing a cascade of muscle-building and performance-sustaining effects.
