- I had sore knees from playing sports, and this product seems to help with joint stiffness. I bought glucosamine on advice of physical therapist, and have been taking it for 3 years. He told me to take 1500 g/day, but I round up and take two. I no longer have soreness or stiffness in my joints, so I think glucosamine works for me. It's hard to be sure about preventative products, but it's inexpensive and there is sound research to back it up.
