What is anxiety?

TheanineL-Theanine: is non essential amino acid found in green tea. It is known for its relaxation without sedation effect. Due to this it is effective at reducing stress. Theanine also is effective at improving clarity, focus and your mood overall.  It is recommended to take 1 capsule of L-Theanine (200mg) 1 to 2 times daily as needed, preferably on an empty stomach.







5-HTP: is the precursor to serotonin. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that is responsible for happiness. Because 5-HTP is a precursor, it will be converted to serotonin in the brain. Therefore replenish low serotonin levels. This is helpful for people with depression and anxiety. A typical dose of 5-HTP is in the range of 300-500 mg, taken either once daily or in divided doses.







Rhodiola Rosea is a herb that helps fight fatigue and stress. This is because rhodiola is adaptogen. Adaptogens are compunds that are able to combat and prevent physical and chemical stressors. Due to this rhodiola indirectly affects other body functions positively. Firstly, it can help with depression and anxiety.  Because rhodiola can control spikes in cortisol (stress hormone), it can increase one’s life span. Rhodiola is also great for recovery both in the gym and mentally. If you are someone recovering from addiction, rhodiola has been shown to help with easing withdrawl symptoms. Dosing of rhodiola rosea ranges from 500mg-1000mg daily.





St John's Wort

St. John’s wort, or Hypericum perforatum, is a herb. This herb has been shown to have anti-depressant affects. This is what St. John’s wort is most commonly recognized for.  Dosing for St. John’s wort is 300mg to 600mg daily. or as directed by your healthcare provider.
