The Arnold Classic: 30 Years Strong

This year (2018) the Arnold Classic Sports Festival will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in Columbus, Ohio.  For years the ASF has brought everyday gym goers to pro athletes together for this 4 day cluster of events, presenting over 75 sports. This years event will begin March first through the fourth.

What Can You Expect At The Arnold Classic?

The ASF estimates around 200,000 sports and fitness fans to be present during the competitions of around 18,000 athletes. These athletes will be competing in 75 sports and events, including 17 Olympic events. As well as hosting the Arnold Classic and related IFBB Pro League events and the Arnold Amateur NPC Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure, Bikini & Physique Championships. This year they will also be introducing the new Men’s Classic Physique for professional and amateur competitors.


The Expo is expected to be hosting Archery, Baton Twirling, Boxing, Cheerleading, Equestrian, Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Table Tennis and XPC Powerlifting/POWER X. As well as introducing Educational Seminars, Equestrian, Pickleball, Body Painting, and Axe Throwing. The 17 Olympic sports featured at the Arnold Sports Festival include archery, boxing, equestrian, fencing, gymnastics, handball, judo, karate, rowing, a 5K run, soccer, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon and weightlifting. The Expo will be featuring over 1000 booths of the latest in sports equipment, apparel and nutrition and three stages that host competitions and entertainment.

Dates: March 1-4, 2018

Locations: Most events are held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center (400 N. High St.) and Ohio Expo Center (717 E. 17th Ave.).

Hours: Events begin Thursday 10 a.m. and conclude Sunday 6 p.m.

Arnold Fitness EXPO hours: Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens EXPO hours: Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Admission: A daily EXPO ticket ($15 each in advance or $20 at door; children 14 and under are admitted FREE) includes admission to most events, the Arnold Fitness EXPO and the Arnold SportsWorld Kids & Teens EXPO.

Professional and amateur bodybuilding events; IFBB Meet & Greet at the Hilton Columbus Downtown; Amateur MMA Festival at EXPRESS LIVE!; Arnold Pro Boxing and Arnold Party With The Pros at Greater Columbus Convention Center; and Arnold Sunday Showcase at Battelle Grand require a separate ticket.

Arnold VIP Ticket Packages are available for $350 and $600 and include exclusive benefits and premium seating to many events.
